SUMMER ART QUEST

This is the perfect summer class for the serious young artist at the 92nd Street Y! Learn to draw, paint, make collages, sculpture and prints in the span of just two weeks. Work in the studio and the outdoors in Central Park. Experience trips to local museums like the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Each session culminates in an exciting student art exhibition and reception for family and friends. 2013 Dates below.

PRIVATE ART PARTIES

Have a private art party in your home with teaching artist Rick Diaz!

Design and paint T-shirts, make felt puppets, decorate totes, make wood sculptures, create paper sculptures, make toy theaters, decorate flowering pots, make fantastical masks, make extravagant party hats ... and more!

• All materials and tools included!
• All materials are pre-cut and are ready to assemble!
• Activities last around 2 hours for up to 12 children.
• All that is needed is a comfortable space with a large table and chairs.

PRIVATE ART LESSONS & PORTFOLIO ADVICE

Art classes tailored to the student's interest and the skills they are hoping to develop – from hand-eye coordination and observational drawing to color theory, shading and painting techniques.

Lessons take place in your home, often during afterschool hours, once a week.

Materials not included. Days and times vary.

Lessons can be booked ahead of time for 8 session semesters.

PRIVATE MUSUEM TOURS

Museum Tours tailored to the student's interest.

Lessons take place in thhe museum galleries and range from drawing to 3-d projects.

Materials included.
Days and times vary. Small groups arranged by parents are welcome.
